Concrete Staining
The concrete staining floors, walls, patios etc are a wise investment to make which will ensure a permanent adage to your décor irrespective whether it is done at home or at a commercial set up. The only glitch is that these need maintenance overtime. Using a door mat right outside the entrance is also a good trick. This will ensure that whoever comes inside the house first cleans up the bottom of the shoes and ensures no such exposure made to the stained concrete floor. One must ensure that the door mat is made of hemp or sturdy ropes so that more than 80 percent of the dirt is removed from underneath the shoe. This is a good way through which dirt is kept outside the household, as much as possible.
Besides these tricks, stained concrete spaces need to be cleaned as well. This can be done through daily dusting or mopping the floors. This helps in remove the fine grit and dust which can be very harmful for the floor if it keeps accumulating. This will help prevent major deterioration of the floor caused by foot traffic as well. The best mop to choose is the micro fiber dust mop. Dusting can be done in one continuous movement without lifting the mop from the floor. You can also use a vacuum to get the overlapping effect of mop strokes. The dust mop should also be cleaned regularly after cleaning the stained concrete. It is important never to use any liquid for cleaning the concrete staining as this will cause the wax to egg shell. Bleach and ammonia are good cleaners to be used on the stained concrete floors.
It is also important that the cleaning is done periodically and not after long gaps. Accumulation of dust or any such foreign particles can cause the concrete staining to erode quicker and lose the character and beauty that it produces. Stained concrete is a way in which one is rest assured the process need not be repeated again but it is imperative that we follow the cleaning and maintenance process.
